I began my interest in the outdoors and the lure of living off the land as much as you can, when I was 13 years old.. I had my very experienced grandfather to guide me along the trails and streams of Southern Vermont, teaching me all the ways to read nature, what is edible(and not), how the animals are behaving during the different seasons, how to track fresh and old sign, and mostly respecting and being a good steward to the environment. I started guiding at 18, for friends and relatives to hone my skills. Now that I have fully matured, I would rather see someone else get the joy and experience of a harvest. Teaching and mentoring a lot of youth and many adults for all these years have given me the most satisfaction I could ask for. Even in those hunts where no game is harvested is a learning curve not gone to waste. All of my guests leave with a rewarding outing and generally book return outings for the near future. Unfortunately we no longer have room for guests at our home, but we will refer you to your preference of accommodations.
